Winners of the UEFA Champions League catch up with the Trophy
Unicredit is one of the big sponsors of the UEFA Champions League. Their agency and one of our favorite clients TBWA organised an interactive road show that enabled visitors to discover what it feels like to be a true champion.

To rase awareness of the road show, TBWA asked us to join them in the creation of a format around former Champion League winners. These videos would remind us of the great history around the UEFA Trophy Cup and get viewers to check out the tourdates, for a chance to get close to the cup themselves.

We thought of the cup as an individual he had missed. So in these video the soccer player meets his big friend the Trophy again. Together they recollect memories as he talks about the day they met for the first time. Footage of the final was available to get us even closer to the moment of greatness.

As it is with big stars, all we got was 60 minutes with the player, including shaking hands and saying goodbye. To make these videos a bit more than a serious talking head, we carefully planned a shooting schedule with several special Trophy moments, which would give us the content needed to lift the videos to a next level.

The videos initially spread through the social accounts of the players and were then placed as targeted pre-roll ads in several regions of the tour. Earned and paid in total, the videos were watched by millions of viewers.
