Branded content for Holland's biggest soap opera

Goede tijden, slechte tijden (which translates into Good Times, Bad Times), also known as GTST, is the longest-running Dutch daily soap opera broadcasted by RTL4. Around 1.5 million viewers watch each episode. As a partner of Endemol we enriched the highest rated soap opera in the Netherlands with online branded content evolving around Popstar Rikki.

The life of a pop star is demanding and so is every hair creation! Besides becoming fashionably aware, she has a whole range of new hairstyles matching both the occasion, and her various moods.

The co-produced webisodes consist mainly of extra scenes evolving around one of the main characters of the series, Rikki. These extra scenes can be watched exclusively online. The content is available on the online platform of RTL, RTLXL. Additionally, we produced how-to content with a vlogger; available on the homepage of Andrélon and various social channels.

PRODUCE IT RIGHT

In this co-production the Storylane production team worked together with the production company which produces the soap and worked around their planning for the shoots with Rikki. Partly existing soap locations were used but we also created the sets for the vlogger.

To draw the attention towards the platform we produced banners, pre-rolls and tag-on’s. As you can imagine, every member of the Storylane team has the most outrageous hairstyles since we got a chance to work on this fun product.
